We’ve reached early Sunday afternoon here at the Shopify Lounge with Startup Weekend, and what a weekend it has been! We started with 48 participants, 31 pitches, and 12 businesses. Through the ups-and-downs of idea validation, we ended up with 8 teams working on building a Minimum Viable Product (MVP).

Teams had lots of food and snacks, caffeine, water, and beer to keep them fueled since Friday. Sleep was a luxury for many teams, as work continued even after the lounge was closed.

We have entered crunch time before presentations, and team presenters are busy practicing in their quiet corners – let the stress begin!
